Tumblr just wasn’t meeting my needs. It’s a great tool but not what I am looking for.

Shopping Spree
I bought all sales items and used coupons. I did good. I tried to get shirts I can wear to work. I feel as if I don’t have enough “dressy” enough tops. They all seem more casual.
This means, I need to go through my closet and get rid of some items. There is plenty in there I don’t wear. :)
Here is what I got from Express:

This isn’t a top I would normally go for but I just love the color combo.

I like the leaf. It’s like florals but not really. I am not a floral fan.

A little sexy in case I ever get to go out. ;)

I like the brown and black stripe. I usually feel I can’t pull of the combo myself but here it is already done for me.

Just a cute summer top.
From Old Navy:

I am not so sure about the low cut. Sexy for a night out and maybe work appropriate with a tank underneath.
From Banana Republic:

I love little black tops from Banana.
From the Gap:

I got this in white. I really need some nice white tops. It looked quite crisp and clean online.

A little bit rock n roll. You can’t lose.

I like the detail of the tie back top. It is also an interesting pattern.

I love this color! I couldn’t resist.
From Kohls:

I am a huge polka dot fan. The ruffles are cute but not too much.

These shoes are HOT. I couldn’t resist them. They will look good with pants & skirts. Rawr!

Spring Fever
I think I will do some internet shopping today. I have coupons from Express, Banana, Old Navy and the Gap that expire at the end of the month.
I really have become a person that hates going to the mall. It’s such a production. Get dressed, drive to Scottsdale, wander Fashion Square, try clothes on and then drive home. It is so much easier to order online. And if I don’t like something, I can find a reason to drive to Scottsdale to return it.
I will post pics/links of anything I purchase. :)

Graduation Day
Last post I mentioned the shoes. Oh and that robe and hat thing. So here you go!

Here I am in the robe, hat and awesome wedges. This is inside in front of a giant door; I am not that short/skinny. Oh yes… I also have been “hooded” in this picture (thing around my neck).

And here I am all dolled up outside. The resort was absolutely gorgeous!
Thank you Wigwam for the beautiful backdrop!
Shoes are from Old Navy last season.

Graduation Dress

Front of the dress

Back of the dress
This past weekend I graduated from Webster University with my Masters of Arts. This is the dress I wore. Unfortunately I didn’t think to get full body pictures of me in the dress. I did get some of me in my robe and fancy hat. Maybe I will post those. Oh, yes… you can see my favorite shoes in those pictures!
I got this dress at Dillards. It is from Jessica Simpson. Who knew! I was unable to find it on their website. There was only a few left at the store when I bought mine.

Crappy Outfit Post

Tried to get a close up of the top of the dress. Excuse the hair. It was pulled back all day.

I should have smiled. I have no one to take my pics, so I am trying to use my cmaera’s self-timer.

Tried to pose a bit better. Still no smile. Here is the dress without the cardigan. Excuse all the wrinkles… I had been wearing it all day!
I got this dress at JCPenney recently. It is from Worthington. You can buy it here. The shoes are Candies from Kohls (last season). The cardigan is from Banana Republic, last season.
PS I swear I look better than this normally. Pretend I look hotter ok?

I need…
a photographer. I had some great outfits this week and didn’t get to document them. :(
Wednesday I channeled Lucy Ball & Aubrey Hepburn in some charcoal pants. I paired them with a green 3/4 sleeve length top and gold flats.
Thursday (St. Patrick’s Day) had me wanting to wear green but not in the traditional, “I wore a green top” so I used accessories instead! I wore these adorable green Guess heels I got a few years ago. They are comfy and I get compliments from EVERYONE when I wear them. Best money I’ve ever spent. Then I mixed stripes & polka dots. I wore a gray pinstripe skirt with black & white polka dot button down shirt. I topped it off with a silver bracelet with green beads and a silver necklace with jade.
Yesterday my bestie and I rang in Spring with a dip in her pool & hot tub.

Doesn’t that look amazing? It pretty much was.
I finally got to wear my blue polka dot Victoria’s Secret bikini! I topped it off with a easy pull on dress from Old Navy (pink & white stripes - wow, I really like mixing stripes & dots) and threw on some big sunglasses and straw fedora.

Don’t mind my no makeup and air dried hair. I was going to BFE, I looked rockstar to the people there. :P (And I don’t know why those sunglasses always look green in pics, they are brown & blue)
I wish you all could have seen my outfits! Fab.

Wish List: Tempting Wares
I love painting my nails. What I don’t love is the time, precision (that I lack) and the chipping. There is a new product out there that I am itching to try:

They seem so simple & easy. Peel, apply, and file. That’s it? I can do that! The ad claims they last up to 10 days and removes with nail polish remover. So what’s the catch? The only one I can find in a quick google search is the nail growth. I am definitely interested in giving this product a spin.
I want to try one of the patterns, maybe the fishnet, lace or hounds tooth. I encourage you to do a google image search. There are a ton of pictures of people using this product and the results look amazing!
